I am an RPF Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellow in Theory and Computing at Los Alamos National Laboratory. I work primarily on computational and nuclear astrophysics of stars and their explosions. Before joining LANL, I was a FORD/NSF Graduate Research Fellow at Michigan State University. I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona where I also earned my undergraduate degrees in Physics and Earth & Space Exploration (Astrophysics). I am of Mexican, Black, and Filipino heritage and the first in my family to earn a PhD. I am passionate about science communication and advancing access and equity in astronomy and physics.
